Today @doodles have lost three superb long-term team members that are making the tough choice of building their own thing. It happens.
The thing about cultivating good teams is that they grow, and sometimes people outgrow their place. It's a double edged sword, and damn it's one of the hardest parts of the journey for founders and the people growing their own wings. And sometimes, their personal growth doesn't fit into the project/company's trajectory. Or sometimes, the calling is too strong.
Things are public here, and a ton of assumptions can be made. @doodles @burnttoast & team will be fine. @austin_hurwitz @greenie_sr @SQU1NCH will crush their next adventure.
They were a part of what made doodles what it is today, and THAT is what should be celebrated. Because doodles have been and are one of the major flagships in our (still crazy) space.

i want to extend my well wishes to austin, greenie, and squinch as they embark on their next chapters. they are legends among legends and im grateful for the mark they made on doodles.
these departures come as we sharpen our focus. with today’s release of the first episode of Transmissions, we’re doubling down on content. but not just making more of it. we’re working with partners and platforms that can take what we’re building to audiences we’ve never reached before.
all of this has crystallized our priorities:
world-class content production at scale
collector experiences that serve our loyal community and the new collectors we’re bringing into the fold
brand partnerships that expand our reach and cement our place in culture
selectively taking DreamNet’s best AI features that empower our fans to create with our IP
