IMO if @armaniferrante didn't create anchor, solana wouldn't have been able to gain the critical mass of app devs that it has and would be like > 10x less successful because of it. Anchor built a bridge to Rust. Without the bridge, many devs would have picked another chain.

@armaniferrante I spend years working with teams building educational programs for solana. the NUMBER ONE blocker was rust. Anchor allowed them to ease into it. Without, they would have quit. And you'd be shocked to know the long term impact of missing out on those early devs.
