When Telegram launched its iOS version in 2013, the core development team consisted of only 5-10 people, with the Durov brothers coding away every day. In 2023, Hyperliquid had only 5 core developers. When Instagram was acquired by Facebook in 2012, there were only 13 people. Notion had over 30 million users with a company size of 50 people. Summary: Great companies in their early stages do not need too many people.
