It's kind of crazy to me that having heat in the winter is a legal right in New York City but having functional air conditioning in the summer is not Therefore, if you have building-controlled A/C (like me) your building can simply let you boil alive with indoor temps near 90 degrees all summer long for 5 years with absolutely no option for recourse Plus, per co-op rules it's illegal to install a window A/C unit 💀 On the plus side I guess it's like a free sauna
