Something that is also worth noting amid all the talk about $U rewards for yappers being diluted:
1% in total Kaito rewards and 0.75% of supply specifically for yappers is quite decent imo. Yet, looking ahead at the upcoming mainnet and TGE, I think the overall airdrop we'll see, will be much bigger.
Nowadays we mostly see 5-15% of supply being dropped on TGE, with more supply set aside for later airdrop/community initiatives (not accounting for outliers like Hyperliquid with much higher airdrop/community allos).
@union_build has been very community-centric from the start, and I hence expect the early community members to be rewarded well in the TGE airdrop. Interop infra also tends to reach high FDVs, so I think this one will cook quite hard.
Aside the yappers, this will likely mean a good payday for contributors (incl mods, ambassadors, etc), testers/users, certain partner ecosystems and NFT communities (especially their own collections), etc.
What that means: If you're entrenched in the Union ecosystem, yapping is not the only way to get your hands on $U. If you're entrenched AND yapping, even better.
Maybe they will also launch a sale on Kaito at some point kek?

The @union_build yapper rewards will be allocated purely based on mindshare, not limited by leaderboard ranks.
Looking at the interop market, we see a currently wide FDV range of $250m-$2B, including players like:
- LayerZero = $2B
- Wormhole = $840M
- Axelar = $460M
- Zeta = $460M
- Omni = $250M
Given most of my audience falls into the global/english-speaking category, let's have a look at what that means for us as Union yappers:
Considering the 0.75% of total $U supply offered as yapper allocation, and assuming that 0.5% is dedicated to Season 0 (early supporter bonus + longer timeframe), while also accounting for a total 0.1% deduction for exclusive Chinese/Korean post rewards, we have:
- Season 0: 0.5% - 0.05% = 0.45% of $U supply
- Season 1: 0.25% - 0.05% = 0.20% of $U supply
For each 0.1% mindshare you have achieved in Season 1, or will close Season 2 with, that means:
$250M FDV case:
- Season 0 pool (0.45% = $1.125M) → $1,125 in $U rewards
- Season 1 pool (0.20% = $500K) → $500 in $U rewards
$500M FDV case:
- Season 0 pool (0.45% = $2.25M) → $2,250 in $U rewards
- Season 1 pool (0.20% = $1M) → $1,000 in $U rewards
$750M FDV case:
- Season 0 pool (0.45% = $3.375M) → $3,375 in $U rewards
- Season 1 pool (0.20% = $1.5M) → $1,500 in $U rewards
$1B FDV case:
- Season 0 pool (0.45% = $4.5M) → $4,500 in $U rewards
- Season 1 pool (0.20% = $2M) → $2,000 in $U rewards
