GM - Is Photography Dead? Maybe but all it needs is a little catalyst IMO. Reasoning: 👇 When I started my NFT collecting journey I started with PFP's and glitch and animated works too. It took me awhile to cross the chasm into photography. I mean we can all take those pictures too right? 😉 Then over time I started to really desire Drift WMVG, Cath, Guido, and RuebenWu work cause my algo had that plastered all over my timeline back then and I thought the work was cool. Newsflash: It is super damn cool!!! Also these guys and some others like Aversano were the catalyst. A few artists in a Genre popping off can kick off a whole genre. Over time I fell down the New York City crew rabbit hole and fell in love with so many of their street and city works. Then I got to meet so many of them and realize how great of people they are too. The photogs push each other and others up constantly. They are literally the salt of the earth who will give you the shirts off their back hardworking type of people. Then I just kept getting deeper and deeper into it. Landscape, Night, Self portraiture, helicopter aerial, drone, whatever the magic is in post processing Mindzeye does, video, all of it. Now I basically consider myself one of the top photog collectors and I definitely didn't plan on being here. It's an acquired taste that requires a bit of sophistication and the ability to collect something for its beauty rather than something for its ability to be memetic. There will be a photography rush again. All these people collecting punks and whatever will eventually get bored and want to go down other rabbit holes. If you have 8 punks, one more isn't going to bring you a whole lot more joy. But if we keep plastering all the amazing photography work in our ecosystem all over the timeline, over time they will fall in love with some piece(s) and want to dabble in photography collecting. They will start to nibble at them. First one. Then another. Then before you know it, boom they have a hundred photog pieces. Bottom line, keep going Photogs. Keep sharing yours and your peers works daily. We all know we need to see something a few times normally before we fall in love with it. Let's continue to show them all your great work and time will take care of the rest.
