Big updates from Ethereum core developers this week. During ACDC call #161, three major EIPs were moved to the “Considered for Inclusion” list for the upcoming Glamsterdam upgrade. Here’s what’s on the table 👇
/ EIP-7732: ePBS This EIP splits block validation into two steps: • Proposers proposers check network rules. • Builders provide and verify full transaction data. It adds a builder role and requires proposers to confirm that builders deliver data on time, improving trust, efficiency and reducing centralization risk.
/ EIP-7782: 6-second slot times Proposes cutting slot times from 12 seconds to just 6, meaning blocks would be produced twice as quickly. It is clear that upgrade could significantly improve user experience by reducing transaction confirmation times and overall network latency.
/ EIP-7805: FOCIL This proposal aims to reduce centralization risks by introducing pre-selected validator committees. For every block, 16 validators are chosen to act as an "inclusion list committee," responsible for gathering transactions from the mempool. These lists ensure that important transactions are fairly included in upcoming blocks, strengthening censorship resistance and neutrality at the protocol level.
/ The network keeps growing and each EIP a reflection of where Ethereum is headed. Which EIP are you most excited to see in action? Source:
