If it isn’t legal to drive over 80 mph anywhere in the country, why are cars sold with the ability to do so? Is there any other product that explicitly enables and displays an illegal use case?

Just to be clear… I’m not advocating for anything here. I’m just pointing out something very strange, which doesn’t exist in any other legal product (ie design to intentionally violate the law).
