i believe the next iteration of the world's biggest brands will be crypto-native. you are kind of already seeing it with $PENGU which prob has way bigger social mindshare compared to many well-known legacy brands which have been around for decades. web2 and social media played a massive role in accelerating some of the newer and more successful brands we've seen come through the ranks in the last couple of deades. web3 and crypto will play a massive role in shaping the next wave. yes this isn't the first time you've heard about this and everyone prob has ptsd from 2021 nft/metaverse days. but just coz it didn't work out the first time round doesn't mean it won't work in the future. the biggest problem with 99% of NFT projects was the inability to generate revenue outside of primary/secondary NFT sales. in the current environment that has changed materially, because i think people have realised that it's the web3 reward mechanism that allows you to build a brand/ip/community in an accelerated fashion, and it's then about using that to be able to generate revenues that aren't necessarily related to crypto or NFTs. this is also a key part in how a normie can understand it. if i tell people @RektBrands sells drinks, it's easy for anyone to understand. if i tell people you can earn $REKT which has real monetary value for supporting the brand (which you don't get from supporting any other traditional brand), that makes sense to most normies. the rails on which tokens are claimed, traded etc can vastly improve, but naturally all of that is going to happen to a point where it is completely seamless for everyone. trying my best to avoid delusional hyperbolae, but if you're bullish on crypto as a whole, you will understand that it will become a much bigger part of the average every day life and you want to be in tokens/equity of brands that are first movers in that. the downside of having a token/crypto aspect is it's highly volatile and while sentiment is great in the best of times, it can completely reverse in a bear market etc. however, if your project + community survives through a tough bear market, it only strengthens your story, converts it into a cult and makes the brand 10x stronger when you come out of it again - this rollercoaster of emotions that fosters insane brand loyalty is not something a non-token traditional brand can even fathom. you have to account for probability of extreme upside, toppy vibes from this post etc, but i think the best crypto-native brands with the smartest teams have a real opportunity of being tomorrow's multi-billion dollar companies. cheers $REKT
