There’s a running joke among founders about how to measure how helpful an investor really is: Can you call them at midnight? For over two years, my calendar was open 7 days a week, from 8AM to 11PM (and when I first started, it was 8AM to midnight). I’ve finally scaled it back to 6 days a week - it was just too much. I need at least one day to think, reflect, and do deep work. I’m not anyone’s investor - but I hope I can be a friend. The kind of friend who’s there when you need them, even at midnight.
