First time in my life I ever truly zeroed out completely was in December 2017, ran up an account from $150 to $2k (total portfolio) on my brokerage account, I was holding out to get it to $5k before making a withdrawal, held a $1k bitcoin into weekend (brokers close on weekend) market opened on Sunday night with a gap down cos corn nuked over the weekend… lost my whole account to absolute zero, negative balance too, had no money in any of my IRL accounts so I spent the next 3 days (24th to 26th December ) without food, kid bro came to help me on the third day, longest 3 days of my life those💀

I mean I didn’t grow up well off so I was used to not having money but there’s a different kind of darkness you feel when you have no hope, there’s no anxiety or fear or even crying, just acceptance, rock bottom is truly comforting
