While I understand the tweet @CozomoMedici put out is little jarring it does bring up some good points to talk about I think that photography isn’t dead That’s obviously ridiculous But Collecting photography on chain does feel dead Shoutout to collectors like @GuyNorcal who never stopped being a true patron I always felt the nft photography community was where I felt most comfortable It has some of the best builders It’s where I met the some of my best friends I have collected a ton of photos with @ZanzibarVenturz and @wsavas over the years We never had much intention to sell the photos we bought on chain Which I think was part of the issue for photography It didn’t have the same finalization as the other parts of our community But that also was a blessing as it made for a stronger community and created collectors who truly cared And man some of the photographers here stuck it out more than anyone While others left They stayed and were grinding day in and day out I hope new collectors see the hard work they put in and reach out to those that still do See their spirit and innovation I am not going to do a list here because that won’t do it justice Do you research and make connections These artists are some of the most spirited humans I met I learned to love photography from them I learned that photography IS art from them I learned how photography can change your life from them Nothing on chain is ever dead It Just needs new people to believe in it to give it a new heartbeat This is how we build
