I think Michigan has the potential to be a bit of a sore spot in 2026 for Dems. The Senate primary is messy, and none of the 3 leading candidates are very impressive imo. Whitmer really should've run. The gubernatorial is greatly complicated by Duggan's third party bid.
McMorrow is my favorite, but she isn't doing great in the primary polls and state Senate to national Senate is a big leap.
I like El-Sayed and his focus on public health, which we desperately need a spotlight on in the Trump admin, but he is, to be honest, not necessarily a great fit for MI. Stevens will doom us to horrific infighting.
