Whitelisted to early ordinals users? Awesome. Whitelisted to communities who made a large charitable donation? Very cool! @nodemonkes lost a lot of early ordinals adopters when they did a 180 and decided to go with a Dutch auction, abandoning any previous promises. That mistrust + keeping 10% of the supply put a lot of people off the collection. They’re not the only major collection to walk back promises made to the public and they won’t be the last. I want ordinals to win, but let’s drop all the pretense and promises of utility and coins and airdrops, etc. Let’s focus on art, community, and onboarding. I’m happy to see a wave of new holders entering ordinals. It was getting boring being the only ones on the timeline. This post isn’t meant to be rage bait, it’s meant to provide context of why there wasn’t a tremendous amount of crossover between our two communities initially. I anticipate that changing in the future and I’m happy to see the ecosystem grow. 🌎☮️
