WhoFi Researchers at La Sapienza University of Rome have developed "WhoFi," a system that can identify and track individuals using Wi-Fi signals bouncing off their bodies with 95.5% accuracy. Unlike previous attempts that achieved only 75% accuracy, this neural network-powered system can "see" through walls and isn't affected by lighting conditions. Using basic TP-Link routers, the technology creates unique "fingerprints" based on how Wi-Fi signals interact with different bodies. The system was tested on 14 people wearing various clothing combinations, raising significant privacy concerns about potential surveillance applications in Wi-Fi-enabled spaces.
