"bro wat is terminal?" An explanation of @Terminal_fi, in (very) simple terms. 🧵
"go bro" Terminal Finance is a marketplace for trading yield-bearing stablecoins and institutional-grade assets. It acts as a liquidity hub and gateway for regulated institutions to access DeFi yield.
"yield-what?" Yield-bearing stablecoins earn interest simply by being held. For example, with USDC, you need to actively deposit it into Aave or Morpho to generate yield. But with something like sUSDe, the yield accrues automatically. Just by holding the token.
"what the point??" In other words, these stablecoins don’t need to be locked in a protocol to earn yield. That means you’re free to use them elsewhere while still passively collecting yield.
"elsewhere??" On Terminal for example. They made yield-bearing stablecoins, and more precisely sUSDe, the base currency of their decentralized exchange. Put simply, every asset you trade on Terminal is priced in sUSDe. If you want ETH, you've to trade it against sUSDe.
"ok cool but what assets??" For now, BTC, ETH and sUSDe as well as their LP and YT from @pendle_fi. If you're not familiar with Pendle, go check:

"bro, wat is pendle" An explanation of @pendle_fi, in (very) simple terms. 🧵
"hum" With Pendle, anyone can lock in a fixed yield instead of earning a variable one. In simple terms, you're essentially placing a bet on whether institutions will adopt Terminal and trade at scale.
"and why institution??" Basically, Terminal is focused on giving institutions (aka people with serious money) a place to trade assets at scale. They’re also building a KYC-compliant solution so institutions can use the platform while staying fully regulated.
"tldr??" Terminal is a liquidity platform focused on providing a venue for institutions to trade yield-bearing stablecoins, especially sUSDe. They support ETH, BTC and Pendle's LP & YT of each. 🫶
