I had the honor of meeting USCG Petty Officer Scott Ruskan, who demonstrated remarkable courage and compassion during his very first mission as a rescue swimmer in the devastating Central Texas floods. During moments of fear and uncertainty, he brought safety and comfort to hundreds of young children. His actions are reflective of the heroic acts consistently shown by the brave men and women of the @USCG to protect us.
