Crypto is at a pivotal moment — driven by two undeniable macro forces: Long BTC and Long Yield. At SharpByte, we're all in on Long Yield. Over the coming years, we foresee an unprecedented influx of capital into blockchain ecosystems, driven by explosive stablecoin growth, widespread tokenization of real-world assets (RWA), and increasing institutional participation. Why now? Well, the landscape is shifting rapidly: • The GENIUS Act redefines stablecoin legitimacy, unlocking bank-grade participation. • Giants like Apollo are tokenizing billions, accelerating the RWA flywheel. • The SEC's tone shift is clearing a path for institutional capital to flow in.

We're also witnessing explosive growth in DeFi • TVL in DeFi has surpassed $100 billion • Stablecoin supply has reached $200 billion • Tokenized real-world assets onchain have surged from just $200M in 2021 to $24B today.

This cycle won't be won purely onchain. We're entering a phase where success requires bridging two worlds: the composable efficiency of onchain systems and the real-world know-how of capital markets, partnerships, and deal-making. Gone are the days when one can extract alpha by looking inwards. We've already seen how this pattern affects founders. Those who killed it in the current cycle have shown incredible operational and commercial capabilities. They understand how to navigate the offchain world as well as the onchain world; how to align incentives between different key stakeholders; how to do commercial arrangements that create a flywheel for both parties — all completely different skill set is needed compared to the original cypherpunk era of crypto.
