The head of Aeroflot hadn't changed his password since 2022, and the company's infrastructure ran on outdated Windows XP and 2003 versions Belarusian hackers who today shut down the entire internal network of Russia's national airline Aeroflot said they disabled about 7,000 servers and stole 20 TB of internal data. This includes correspondence, documents, audio recordings, access to tracking systems, and CRM. All employee emails and wiretaps were also downloaded, which the hackers promised to publish soon. Against the backdrop of the hack, Aeroflot has already canceled 54 flights across the country.
