I don’t know why it’s constantly surprising to people on here extremely famous journalists and authors like Zola were popular among their contemporaries?

I do think this is an interesting thing to consider but the question to ask is not “where are the miners reading Zola today”, it’s “where are the journalists writing like Zola today”
