According to reports, South Korean cryptocurrency exchanges Upbit and Bithumb announced that they will terminate trading support for Pundi AI (PUNDIAI) on August 28, 2025. Previously, due to security incidents and insufficient information disclosure, PUNDIAI had been designated as a project requiring special attention for trading. After the termination of trading, users can still complete asset withdrawals before September 29.
PUNDIAI officially stated that it suffered a hacker attack on July 12, where hackers unusually issued 1 million tokens. After monitoring, they froze on-chain transfers and successfully recovered about 70% of the stolen assets, while requesting exchanges to suspend deposits and withdrawals. Due to the need to cooperate with the third-party service provider Axelar, they only officially explained the incident on July 14. DAXA (Digital Asset Exchange Alliance) believes the project's response was not timely and decided to delist PUNDIAI on July 28.
