it's summer of 2022, and i'm meeting @antongotchi for the first time ex-@duolingo PM, very deep product thinker he was convinced gamified sleep could be a wedge into making healthy habits fun and repeatable the goal: build tamagotchi, for better sleep, for everyone he would gamify the right behaviors, and over time, make the right things ownable eight weeks after raising pre-seed capital from @Collab_Currency, @6thManVentures, @1kxnetwork and some killer angels like @cemkansu, @Jihoz_Axie and @Zeneca, FTX went down, leaving a chill on the blockchain space for the last three years i've met monthly with anton while our larger space has ebbed and flowed with consumer crypto interest, i can't think of a single time anton's vision has wavered every month, he came prepared with a new deck to present, a new build to share, a new feature to tweak he ran our monthly check-ins like standups total accountability and principled iteration anyway today his scrappy team at sleepagotchi shipped something real a consumer crypto product that was built slow and thoughtfully for the last few years in closed beta, 78% of users launched sleepagotchi within 15-30 minutes of waking up no food logs, no workout inputs. wearables not required (but can of course be integrated) while i'm sharing the app store link in the quoted post to try the product, i also thought it was important to share a bit about the human who spent the last three years in an unrelenting, brick-by-brick, no-glory sprint to open beta anton is the blueprint of a consumer crypto founder i would back every day of the week conviction over convenience a builder who stays, even when the going gets rough i am proud to be an ambassador and just grateful to witness the long arc of craft download it try it send feedback i can promise @antongotchi will listen thank you ♥️
