Free speech almost always costs something - personally, professionally, financially or otherwise - it’s why you see so many people staying silent in the face of the unimaginable, unyielding horror that has been inflicted onto Palestine. Bottom line.

There is a young Palestinian girl as old as my oldest daughter I’ve been following for a long time now. Her name is Renad. She has been sharing recipes and meals from Gaza as well as her experiences for years. She has recently become very thin, losing weight when she should be gaining it like my children are here in Australia. Instead she talks about trying to get to aid boxes without being murdered. She is so brave and I think of her every morning when I feed my own children their breakfast. My heart aches for her, her family and the rest of the people in Gaza who are currently suffering and scared.
