2/10 Solana maintained consistently high on-chain activity in H1 2025 — averaging 3–6M daily active addresses, with peaks over 7M in late January and early May. The network continues to prove its strength under real user demand.

3/10 One of the biggest technical upgrades is Alpenglow, developed by @Anza_xyz. It replaces Solana’s PoH + Tower BFT with two new components: Votor and Rotor — designed to enhance performance, security, and scalability.

5/10 Governance saw historic engagement early in the year. Proposals SIMD-228 and SIMD-123 recorded record voter turnout, marking a new era of community participation on Solana.  Based on the voting results, SIMD-228 did not pass, receiving 61.39% approval, just below the required 66.67% supermajority threshold. On the other hand, SIMD-123 was approved with 74.91% voting in favor.

@anza_xyz 6/10 Solana staking is now integrated with @Trezor hardware wallet! Users can now earn SOL rewards while maintaining full custody of their assets — a major step for secure staking adoption.
