With two Meridian sales yesterday at 5.85 and 6.8 ETH, other Matt DesLauriers collections are starting to look undervalued. Historically, Subscapes have traded on par with, or above, Meridians. The cheapest Subscape is currently listed at 2.75 ETH. The floor for Meridians is 6.85 ETH. More interestingly, Filigree is trading at 1.5 ETH. It’s arguably a lesser-known collection from Matt, launched with The Disruptive Gallery in April 2024. It builds on the foundations laid in Subscapes and Meridians, while being more reflective, emotive, and humanistic. The collection features 10 habitats, from Wetland to Desert and Coral to Grasslands. There are 10 pieces for each habitat, making the total supply only 100 pieces. In comparison, Subscapes and Meridian have a supply of 650 and 1,000 respectively. Interestingly, AI was used to automate color and tone selection. As such, Filigree reflects Matt's vision of a world where human craft and creativity work in harmony with AI and autonomous computational systems.
