Pretty cool thing I noticed… We made 3 new core investments this summer & the average relationship behind them is 9.7 years. - My former boss (10 years) is starting a new company. - A founder who's company we co-led an investment into in 2022 (4 years) introduced me to a company they’re backing from his own venture fund. - A well-known GP I’ve known for 15 years (we invested in his first fund around 2010) is incubating something new. In a world where our calendars overflow with meetings & we travel the world chasing new deals, easy to forget how powerful it is to double down on the most talented people you already know & trust. Maybe it’s age or nostalgia, but there’s also real joy in watching long-term relationships create new opportunities for Chapter One.
