The new district map for California has been released, retaining 4 Republican districts and losing 5. The 5 districts in San Diego originally had a Republican district (District 48) carved out specifically in the underdeveloped inland area, which has now been dismantled and merged with the Democratic territory of Palm Springs, truly becoming a salamander. If the Democrats cannot take back the House next year and allow Trump to run rampant in suppressing California, even withholding disaster relief funds, California's interests will be harmed.
