The State of Yuga rn: Lots of building in the back but it has yet to translate to mindshare 🦍 Yuga is still the most well funded NFT company as per reliable sources & @AdamWeitsman 🦍 Ever since Garga stepped back in, priority for Yuga has shifted to BAYC, Otherside, ApeChain Re: BAYC - Yuga sees it as the best club in the internet - Yuga has ApeFest coming up in Las Vegas and a tie up with ComplexCon - Garga confirms that an IRL clubhouse in Miami is still coming - Garga eyes BAYC to be the best club IRL and online - Yuga is eyeing BAYC to have major tie ins in Otherside and ApeChain - We have yet to see an updated BAYC roadmap Re: Otherside - This is probably Yuga’s biggest & most ambitious undertaking at the moment - Recent persistent experiences in Otherside such as Bubbles (X Spaces-like) and Bathroom Blitz had been fun - More experiences coming this year as they prepare it for the persistent 24/7 Otherside - NFT Projects such as @GutterCatGang, @MeebitsNFTs, @moonbirds, etc are also all building in Otherside - Otherside also got a boost & support from billionaire, @AdamWeitsman Re: ApeChain - A lot of apes and NFT OG projects are building on ApeChain - These projects are looking to be integrated in Otherside eventually, like @GeezOnApe avatars - @apecoin team doing activations via Spotlight like Wheel of Fate that rewards BAYC/MAYC - I can confirm that ApeChain team are cooking some stuff on the back that’s not yet shared in the public - Still no update on ApeCo, the replacement of ApeCoin DAO However, despite all of these, Yuga & BAYC has yet to build relevance again in CT. Here’s some points I noticed: 1) @BoredApeYC tweets don’t have the same reach as they do before 2) Not a lot of people in CT tried Bubbles on @OthersideMeta and Bathroom Blitz 3) ApeChain has been losing mindshare and volume vs. other L2s Personally, I also think that most of CT has been scarred or jaded with high NFT prices before by BAYC, Otherside Mint, or HVMTL/Kodamara experiences. Now, they don’t want to touch anything Yuga unless Yuga proves it’s gonna be worth their time again I’m confident that Yuga, BAYC, & @apecoin team are cooking. But if there’s anything they need to address asap, it’s their social media presence Maybe hire social media intern Maybe allow main accounts to be reply guys Maybe have better relationships with KOLs & big accounts outside BAYC I know Yuga will always be building long-term, but in crypto, it’s not enough to just be heads down building You also need to capture attention. You need to have people in CT give a damn about what you’re building My belief in Yuga is unwavering. I know they’re cooking behind the scenes. They just need to work on balancing back end work with front facing work & presence 🫡
