The first time walking the Pacific Crest Trail section of Laguna Mountain Desert, it's now the season for the mountain redwoods to bear fruit, and the mountains are shimmering with silver. At the mountain top, there is a white dome; I always thought it was an observatory, but this time I got closer and found out it was a radar station of the U.S. Air Force, unguarded, just a warning sign vaguely stating "Closed to the Public," defaced to only read "Public." I can guess the meaning, so I didn't dare to approach. It's the best spot to overlook the Big Horn Sheep Desert.
