Segmint is Pivoting:
✳️ Collectibles platform @SegMintIO announced a major pivot
✳️ While they got some traction, they felt there were bigger opportunities to pursue and will change focus to two areas:
✳️ First, they're launching a B2B backend infrastructure business
✳️ The business will power RWA (real world asset) tokenization, fractionalization, redemption/escrow
✳️ To get clients from all over web3, they'll support multiple chains, not just Abstract
✳️ IMO this is brilliant. Real world tokenization will only grow from here and businesses will be looking for easy and trustworthy ways to participate
✳️ Second, they're launching a web2 consumer collectibles app with optional web3 features
✳️ It's hard to scale web3 apps to millions of users (heck even to thousands of users), so it makes sense to go down the web2 path
✳️ What'll happen to existing Segmint customers? There won't be a TGE anymore, but your collector score will translate into graded slabs
✳️ Overall, this pivot makes a lot of sense. If you have a talented team with a lot of resources, you shouldn't settle for small wins and should go big
