In probably less than 50 years at current rate a regular coffee in US will be $100 a cup When the Yen started 1 single Yen was 1.5g of gold ($160 today) People in US dont realise that the yen, yuan etc all started like USD in small digits and they are still global powers If you told someone in US in 1950 their 10k home might be worth 10m in 2025 they wouldnt think they would be rich theyd think hyperinflation happened We all know this but I repeat it because the same people still think in how many dollars you need to live well in the future There will be a day you wake up as a centi millionaire and be average the way 100m yen today is 680k It doesnt matter how much money you have - you will be poor - its what types of assets do you control that survive long term People in Argentina prior to hyper inflation that sold assets to "secure their gains" ended up poor within 5 years This doesnt mean dont sell assets - just think more holistically about what you are doing and have the right north star - the right north star whatever it is - is not more money
