It is possible to live in the company of objects and at the same time know that they have no actual separate existential reality. It is possible to live, looking out at the world through the lens of I am and at the same time know that it, and all other I ams, exist only as mental fabrications. It is possible to know the the apparent others exist for you only in who you think they are. It is possible to know that life is meaningless and that life had no purpose. It's possible to know that it's not your life or your body. It is possible to know that there are no things to be owned. It is possible to live in a realm in which there is no good and no evil. It is possible to know that nothing can be known. It is possible to live in a world with no authorities and knowing that everybody is winging it. It is possible to live in a profound unknowingness, sublimely content owning nothing and everything at the same time. It is possible to love in spite of the understanding that there is not such thing to love and no others to love. It is possible to live knowing that as individuals we are alone. It is possible to live knowing that as humans, we are alone in the universe. It is possible to know that the only love you can ever experience is occurs inside of who you think you are. It is possible to live knowing that for you there is nothing beyond the conceptual dream of separation and be sublimely content at the same time. - Michael Markham
