Have lived this way the last 3 years after realizing I had wasted the previous few being a boring human (could rant on the importance of the closest people around you but that’s for another time) Didn’t optimize for wealth. Nor for meeting the status quo. Just for living an interesting life. This lead me to hundreds of experiences that are priceless. Not to be bleak but I really hope when I die I can personally have no question that I lived a brilliantly interesting life. If others think that, great bonus. We often talk about how luck is the product of hard work - to me happiness is the product of keeping things interesting. Hopefully this encourages someone to do or try the thing they were on the fence about or make a life change to move their life in this direction.
