Shoes are like personalities for women - different identities for different signalling, expressing different aspects through subtle choices in a plausibly deniable way. Men don’t do this. To men, shoes are just shoes. Sports, work or formality. More functionary than identity - and definitely not sexual.
This is why women are obsessed with shoes and men aren’t. They see it as an extension of themselves/self-concept in expression through adornment. For men it just isn’t that deep. I never understood the shoe thing and suddenly one day it just came to me. Very odd realisation.
