Don't just be a reply guy. Everyone says keep replying, it's key for Twitter growth and yes, it helps. But spending your whole day replying won't take you far. Forced replies with nothing real to say fall flat imo. I would say, have some genuine conversation, be authentic, then even if you reply less, you will still get more engagement than "Just replying" because you are told to do it. Replying alone won't grow your account. Focus on posting more. Replies should support your content, not replace it. Twitter's algo will push your content to interested readers based on what you post. You might start with 50 views, then 100, then 200, it builds slowly. But you're learning, sharing, and starting conversations in your own replies section. You can grow without replying at all. But you can't become a top voice without consistent posting and a clear identity in this space. So don't get lost in trap of "just replying". Priority should be, for replies to come to you, not you, chasing attention in other people's threads/posts all day.
