I wish ppl figured out whether doctors' lobbies actually artificially restrict supply to drive up salaries, if hospitals are overcharging for no reason and why/how & what can be done about it. instead of using their energy to pass laws that disincentivise innovation (IRA)

I wish people used the warranted frustration this should elicit to id the sources of these costs and campaign against them. they don't seem to be insurance/pharma companies. PBMs? Hospital overcharging? unpopular to say bcs doctors are heroes but... unwarranted caps on no of medical training to keep salaries high?
