Ke’Torrius Starkes Jr. passed away following a supervised visit with his father. According to police, Starkes was “accidentally left inside of a vehicle while in the care of a third-party contracted worker through the Department of Human Resources.” The worker reportedly got food and did other errands while leaving the child in the scorching hot car. “A child in DHR custody was being transported by a contract provider when the incident occurred,” said an Alabama DHR spokesperson. “The provider has terminated their employee. Due to confidentiality, DHR cannot comment further regarding the identity of the child or the exact circumstances.” Rest in peace 🙏
