80 - 90% of L2 revenue comes from MEV, primarily DEX swaps. Of course L2s will promote memecoins that lead to more DEX swaps. Especially low liquidity ones that generate even greater MEV But it's hard to say that part out loud

The solution here is not to embrace more memecoins, but instead to allow for more experimentation in L2/L3 revenue generation. Once we can move beyond priority fees that generate MEV, we can truly unlock new models for creators. Until then, speculation will drive rollup revenue
