Republicans like Scott Jennings have been spreading a lie about Medicaid: that 1.4 million “illegals” are enrolled in the federally funded program. Never mind that federal law flatly prohibits it. Never mind that the 1.4 million figure largely refers to legal immigrants. But facts have never stood in the way of good old-fashioned Republican fear-mongering.
