One of the reasons why it's bad to have someone with Narcissistic Personality Disorder as your leader is that they are literally incapable of (1) admitting they don't know something, and (2) interpreting object-level feedback/constructive criticism as anything other than direct attacks. It may sound weird and outlandish, but I guarantee you that currently nobody in the Whitehouse is capable of explaining the nature and effect of tariffs on the economy because it would entail that the narcissistic leader doesn't understand something quite basic about economics. That social network is literally _incapable_ of having object-level conversations about that topic without them being interpred as a political attack. Anybody that raises object-level objections to policy is purged. Evaporative cooling ensures that the entire engine of decision making has an office IQ of 80 or less. It's not high dimensional Chess. You don't understand how real and literal this problem is unless you've had a narcissist as a boss, parent, or teacher. It sucks so bad.
