A scene from hell in Mirage Rafah in the south of Khan Younis I wish I had been able to document what we witnessed today through video during our presence in the Mirage area of Rafah in the south of Khan Younis The trucks entered in a chaotic and reckless way speeding without any regard and crushing anyone in their path As soon as they stopped people rushed toward them as if throwing themselves toward life or toward death Then the real horror began as the occupation forces opened fire on anyone who approached the trucks Next to me was a young man running only looking for his daily sustenance when a bullet struck him directly in the head It was an unforgettable moment filled with terror silence and complete helplessness I tried to help him but I could not I stood there with my hands tied by fear and the harsh reality What was even more shocking was that everyone kept running no one stopped to help him no one tried to take him to the hospital Everyone was running toward the truck toward death in search of a piece of bread to ease our hunger This scene does not resemble life it is a glimpse of hell that we experience every single day and no one hears us.
