yesterday, i took a bad sponsored deal. not only did i almost forget to disclose, but after digging deeper into the situation, i didn't know exactly what i was promoting as i only recall one side of the parties involved. creators, let my mistake be a lesson that: 1) always take accountability and own up to your mistakes. 2) do your own research beyond a content brief. 3) not every deal is a 'good' deal. to any agencies reading this: please make sure to brief your kols/creators with important information that extends beyond the actual "promotion". yes, i made the mistake of not doing MY own research, but i had to talk and ask some fellow gaming friends to get more information in order to get an understanding of what's going on. a content brief is cool and all, but we rely on you guys to source us deals that are verified, qualified and legit.
"bawsa, why don't you delete the post?" 1) eh, i'll take my L face on and leave proof on the wall. 2) deleting it would make myself look more suspicious. 3) owning up to your mistakes > saying nothing at all. i hope my fellow creators can be better than me.
