Ask yourself why we’re told to fear one man’s power but supposed to blindly accept not knowing who’s in power. There’s an entire system designed to make us believe the dangerous men are on magazine covers when those who put them there wield far greater, unearned power. They are puppeteers; you can’t vote them out of office because they never ran for office. A legitimate leader can be attacked. A puppeteer cannot; you will never see his face. A legitimate leader stands and falls for his work. A puppeteer stands for nothing; you don’t even know his name. A legitimate leader is a single point of failure. A puppeteer can’t be toppled. Overthrow one of his puppets, and he will install another. Legitimate leaders who care for their people are a threat to the rule of puppeteers. They must be likened to tyrants because they spark the idea that things could, one day, be different.
