i hate people with big egos who tries to sound like they don't care or don't just care about winning while they actually do i love people with big egos who are honest about that they just want to win huge difference in these two types of people

rationalists suffer and common people people suffer there is a sweet spot no one found in between where you make ruthlessly rational and emotionally tough decisions 1% of the time, and live life 99% of the time. and it has the best outcomes of both worlds

if you are incapable of giving advice that is correct but will hurt or cause emotional suffering in the short term, stay away from helping on some most important decisions because your advice will by definition be wrong, since the correct thing is often emotionally tough

if you are extremely smart you'll often get startup offers while still being in school problem is literally anything can be made to sound like the uniquely best deal & most high potential idea when you have never done real work, so a lot of people waste on a few years

it's virtually ILLEGAL to build, san francisco built 9 houses last year normal people cannot understand that the only reason no one can afford rent or housing and have to commute an hour is because they are "protected" by government regulation

imagine everyones items are 24/7 listed on a market for the exact price you'd actually sell for at any given time and all trades happened automatically

if you want to get good at posting: 1) find experiences or beliefs other people hold but doesn't know they do 2) catch yourself when you have these insights 3) get good at formulating your thoughts actually 2) is the hardest, that was the only thing i needed
