internet age networks are inherently so much larger than our gut feeling wants to believe. if one creates < 5 artifacts per day, they won't get to 100.000 artifacts over a normal productive lifetime of say 50 years. and 100.000 potential nodes is still nothing in the age of the internet.
if a YT channel or IG account or any of the other thingies has 100.000 followers we disregard it as a small account why would it be different for digital art...
generative art looks like a fix (and it is) but it doesn't work for all domains and often artworks just don't make sense in a generative medium.
networked (one of many) artifacts are the simple and obvious way to allow for the natural growth of a body of work in relation to the number of its appreciators. it feels odd until it doesn't... VV has proven it works many times now...
