mev and privacy is the biggest roadblock for institutions to move onchain at large scale no institution would want to participate in a network where entire orderflow is informed and can change the sequence of orders to frontrun -- while being able to recognise from which address the flow is originating from

that's why i believe once institutions get a taste of onchain (composability, permissionless lend/borrow and other apps) they would naturally go to venues which - give then in-built privacy - give no mev guarantees that's why i feel zkvms or zkl2 building for this might be good product

specially the ones that maintains composability with ethl1, which is the main economic hub of max activity and stablecoins via a bridge, a zk bridge some projects that are working or a good fit here are @zksync's prividium, @aztecnetwork and @Starknet no mev and privacy is more important or as imp as evm compatibility

but evm itself is planning to switch its runtime to risk-v, so it remains to be seen by the time institutions get here in large scale, how much zkfied and mev-less the entire space becomes, including ethl1 and other l2s but these will remain key design priorities for any one to do serious business onchain
