My Cuban father in law keeps his house at 69F in Florida. He burns through AC units, and pay huge electric bills. He doesn't care. When living in Cuba, there was no AC for the plebs. When he escaped to America, he saw AC as - yes - the magic make cold box. Amazing. He didn't care what it cost, this was WEALTH. This was advancement of humanity. This was the coolest thing ever. Ever since he has spent enormous sums of money to maximally enjoy his magic make cold box. If a Communist came for his AC, I think he would go to war. To him, this is a symbol of America. Here, anyone can have the magic make cold box. Here, anyone is free to pay for it. Don't tread on his AC.
