Despite the White House and Pentagon claiming for months now that no classified material was shared during the “Signalgate” Leak involving Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth back in March. The Washington Post is now reporting that the Pentagon’s Inspector General has received evidence during the ongoing investigation that messages over Signal from Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, which detailed plans for a U.S. bombing campaign against the Iranian-backed Houthis in Yemen, derived from a classified email labeled “SECRET/NOFORN” sent by the Commander of U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), Gen. Michael E. Kurilla, to Secretary Hegseth via a closed classified computer network used by the Department of Defense known as SIPRNet.
