I've cracked the code... I know everyone is tired of 'infoFi' at this point But many are still wondering what exactly earns you a 'yap' Im lucky enough to have access to @Surf_Copilot && have been working with them to highlight their crypto native AI I asked it a simple question "How does Kaito determine a yap? What criteria goes into it, and is there anyway to 'game' the system?" && lemme tell ya, what it gave me info wise was EXTREMELY interesting. Cause I think it may have actually cracked the code on how YAPS are calculated... It broke down Yaps into 3 distinct scoring methodologies. - Proof of Work | Volume of relevant posts - Proof of Exchange | Weighted reuptated engagement (smart followers) - Proof of Insight | Semantic quality, that is original, informative, and topical Now we do know that for the most part, and could have figured that piece out. But what it also showed me is how it SLASHES yaps - You LOSE 5% per 24 hours on your posts, so engagement early on outweighs later engagement - English language bias, it uses an LLM for language to make sure it accounts for more than just English posts - Project loyalty bonus, you get extra points if you hyper focus on specific topics, vs spreading yourself too thin - Reputational bonus, high ranking yappers have outsized returns for other people that those high rankings engage with On top of this, Surf also managed to quickly break down the anti-cheat mechanisms that are in place Kaito will actively slash users for the following - Group Farming | Posting in sync with others - Solicited engagement requests | RT / Comment / Like requests - Bot or Multi Account Farms, where engagement is just slop - Plagarized or copy pasta content, if it finds the same posts or similar posts you are slashed The final thing that Surf did an incredible job was actually give me the full outline of what BEST practices are to maximize your YAP farming... - High Volume Reply Strategy Post 100 thoughtful replies daily, and focus on the yappers that are atop the leaderboard - Target Rotation Engage with multiple top-ranking creators and limit the repeat replies to the same handles, as that has diminishing returns, rotate the people you engage with each day - Community Concentration Post Kaito Specific X content, on only a small number of the Yapper Leaderboard projects, posting about too many causes diminishing returns, and make sure the content you post is ORGANIC, ORIGINAL, and NOT AI - Niche Specialization This goes into the same as above, 2-3 project leaderboards at most, rather than scattering posts across more in order to benefit from the loyalty multipliers - Strategic Timing Front load quality threads early in the week for epochs, then maintain reply engagement mid week on those posts and other peoples posts due to the time decay effects Surf has a REALLY good Crypto Native AI capability. I was INSANELY impressed with what it was able to give me on this specific topic and now I find myself continuing to question and challenge the AI, just to see what it spits back out Things like ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, etc are not crypto native, and the responses it gives are sometimes just wrong or off. With SURF it takes into native content, questioning, web browsing, research that is REAL and related DIRECTLY to that of Crypto Twitter, which I think is a MASSIVE opportunity. Have been grateful to work with them, and more grateful to get ACTUAL insight into the question I posed here. Great job to Surf.
