Two years of World. What started almost two years ago has grown into one of the most important and ongoing partnerships for us at @TACEO_IO — shaping both our technology and our mission. Early on, we realized something rare: their commitment to privacy and decentralization wasn’t just branding. It was deeply rooted in the project’s DNA. They weren’t afraid to ask the hard questions — and more importantly, to follow them wherever they led. How do you prove someone is unique without storing their biometric data? For anyone outside the cryptography community, that sounds impossible. If you don’t keep a list of users, how do you check if someone is already registered? The only way is to encrypt the list and still be able to check against it. That’s only possible with advanced cryptographic primitives that let you compute directly on encrypted data. The theory for that has existed since the ’80s. But when World came to us, the real-world performance was still five orders of magnitude off. Most would have dropped the idea. They didn’t. Instead, they pulled together teams to see if it could work. We were one of them. And to be honest, we were skeptical. The scale was massive: millions of users. The latency budget was tight. But they pushed. And we pushed back. Together, we turned something theoretical into something real. The tech got better. So did we. Even more, it shaped how we think about our own mission: to bring encrypted compute to production. And our work hasn’t stopped. It’s only grown deeper — from biometric privacy to private shared state. This time, we’re working on something even more fundamental: smart contracts that are private and verifiable, that open the door to privacy-preserving coordination at the application layer. Grateful for the journey so far, and excited for what we’re building next.
